I cannot recommend one that is available in all Australian states. Don't scrimp on the cost of potting mixes: What you pay for is what you get. ONLY select a premium potting mix with the RED ticks on the pack. Your Echeveria will thank you many times over for the effort. The red tick standards mark ensures that the mix will have ample fertiliser included, wetting granules to stop water being repelled by the mix should it dry out, minimum nitrogen draw-down (robbing your plants of nutrition) and a good structure of the soil. We do not recommend buying a Cactus and Succulent mix, nor a bag with BLACK ticks on it. They seem to lack in the re-wetting department and some contain only enough nutrition for the first week of growth. Add the cost of a wetting agent plus fertiliser, and you may have already paid more than what a premium mix cost. If you feel that a potting mix is staying too damp and not draining really well, add 10% of coarse river sand to the mix. Never use beach sand, no matter how much it has been washed , as it is too fine to drain well.
